Ring doorbell - not picking up?

Hi,

fairly dull and mundane question, but most days our ring doorbell doesn’t pick up a person coming to the door (not ringing the bell). This is any time day or night so light isn’t the issue.

The view is clear as far as we’re aware, we have a porch so the lens isn’t dirty etc.

Any ideas why this might happen?

No advice, but mine is the same. I've got so annoyed with it, that I've cancelled the subscription.
