Is there a Mini Egg shortage?

I’ve looked in 2 x Home Bargains, Tesco, Co-op and Aldi and I can’t find any mini eggs anywhere. Home Bargains had the chocolate mini egg bar and the huge Easter eggs but that’s it. Is there some kind of shortage??

Loads in the shops near me

They’re showing in stock at my nearest 10 Tescos (one store is out of stock of the 1kg bag but has the smaller ones) - you can check on their app, OP.

Worked in retail for years and mini eggs are definitely favourites around Easter, I always grab them early.

Loads available around here, expensive these days though!

From the seasonal offerings that are appearing in the local cafés, I suspect they've all been snaffled by the catering companies and made into brownies.

(From what I've seen, small packets and multipacks of small packets are generally available.)

There’s a whole bin full of them in my Tesco. And another full of the orange flavour ones.
Which surprises me because I thought most of Europe’s supply was in my treat cupboard…

I couldn't find any this week OP, it's not just you. I usually buy some for the last week before Easter at a kids' club I run but I had to get KitKat bunnies this year as there was not a mini egg to be had for love nor money in any of the shops I tried.
