Random children targeting me

I don’t know if I wear some kind of sign on me that tells children to target me or if they are like this with everyone. I walk about by myself that might be why.
the children in the area have behavioural issues. Last summer, they were very aggressive towards me from behind the fence when I was reading a book in my own garden. In passing, they will call me things like “Fanny”.
I took my dog to a local park today and had a go on the swings (I know that’s odd for an adult but there were no children there) and a minute later children come running like a fly to shit, swearing at me trying to get my attention and laughing. I left without saying anything.

I sympathise OP.

Since I moved into my area I've had a lot of problems off and on with the local children and youths - primary age and teenagers - targeting me. Mainly my house or my garden but also me personally. It's very distressing.

I'm a " newcomer" to the area and I'm quite solitary, The original problem started with them targeting my garden and because I spoke to them and tried to do sometime about it baiting me became a game. I' m " known " in the area as a target. So I know what you mean about feeling you have a sign on you.

It's very upsetting isn't it? The police and the local community policeman attatched to one of the schools have actually been really helpful to me. Not at first. But because I reported every incident they have taken it seriously. I don't know what age group you are in but for once my older age has been helpful in that I'm classed as vulnerable and they are less able to ignore things.

Have you reported any of the things that are happening to you because you shouldn't have to put up with this behaviour. Have you talked to the local community police because I really think you should.
