Have my first interview tomorrow in over 10years. Just trying to go over some questions and answers. Anyone have any interview tips? How long should the interview last? It’s for a part time admin role. Feel like I’m just going to go blank and start repeating myself.

Is there a person specification or something? It sounds really basic but my advice would be to go through that and think about how you can demonstrate those skills or qualities. Eg if they want some who can work well in a team, think of an example you can give of when you’ve worked well in a team in the past.

Beyond that they will probably ask you the standard questions like what do you think you can bring to the role, so come up with good answers for those questions so you’re not scrambling around on the spot.

They will expect you to be a bit nervous, that’s only natural but remember to take a nice slow breath before answering each question so you’re not rushing and so you stay calm. Good luck, I’m sure you’ll be great!
