Does anyone use MOB.
The recipes look good but I'm not sure if I want to pay an annual subscription.
Does any one use it?

I used to LOVE mob recipes and have a few of the early cookbooks. The website used to be free and it’s really quite disappointing now that it’s subscription based. The recipes are very….exotic these days when I had a free trial …lots of “unusual ” ingredients when a few years ago they were very much British comfort food based with ingredients you could easily get in Sainsbury. If you like to cook then it is worth it if you get it on one of the discount days where it’s half price etc - I’ve seen it for £15 for the year recently which is the cost of a cookbook these days and you could download/print off the recipes over the year so would work out a good investment

Thanks @amiadoormat
I have the veggie MOB which i like.
The cheapest Ive seen the subscription is £30 a year

It does seem a good platform but I get a lot of my receipes from Insta so I'm still thinking about it.

I have a subscription but am definitely underusing it for what I’m paying. You do have to be in the mood to cook that sort of thing, and I agree they can go down an exotic rabbit hole at times.

I’ve got the MOB quick cooking and the original MOB recipe book and also the Veggie one. I’ve got the Comfort Mob on my Kindle and that was when they started to get a bit disappointing…..comfort food to me is not some hard to pronounce dish with ingredients that are hard to find …I guess I expected it to be (cringe) British Comfort Food like the website recipes had always previously been. It was around that time the website went all glitzy and subscription only.

that being said MOB6 isn’t too bad and there are a couple of good dishes in it

There was a free trial offer recently as it was my bday - maybe sign up for an account to save the free recipes and then if your birthday is coming up hopefully you’ll get a similar offer and do the free trial and see what you think (spend 5 days downloading everything 😂😅)
