How can I hide Facebook stalking

If I look up someone and look at their profile my own profile will come up under someone you know.
i am trying to stalk someone on Facebook but don’t want them to notice I’ve searched for them.
help

Look at them then block them after

There are many reasons to come up as 'someone you may know', and they're not all to do with searching.

Create a blank second account, also means accidentally liking something isn’t an issue 🤣

Or why don't you just not stalk them and focus on more productive activities.

You can’t, but if you come up on their feed it doesn’t automatically mean you’ve been stalking!

How do you know if someone has been looking at your profile on FB, apart from a like that's been done by mistake?

That's not true as Facebook clarifies in their own documentation. But if it concerns you, you can block them after you've looked and then you won't be recommended at all.

Since when did we start calling someone merely looking someone up 'stalking'? Stalking is a very serious thing, I wish people would stop using it where it clearly doesn't apply.

i use fake accounts, when needed or always go under a cover name and use that profile

can we truly say its "Stalking" on facebook when the whole point of social media is to put what you want to share with people etc ?

You see them because you are either friends on Instagram (as two are linked) or they are friends of friends on Facebook or Instagram. Also if you are phone contacts, or email contacts outside of social media.
I have also noticed if you've looked at them on Instagram they may show up as a suggestion on Facebook. So I think it's partially true, but not enough to assume they have been looking at your profile.

Well through Facebook I have found out that the person lied to me about things so they didn’t want me to know
