When someone is selling for example ten pairs of brand new trainers on vinted, do you think they might be stolen?

I'd think they were cheap fakes bought in from China or similar

Placetobeseen · 30/03/2025 22:17

They could be but my first thought is to assume they're a scammer. There's a lot of them on Vinted.

Agree not stolen but fake. I’d stay far from that user

I'd be suspicious they weren't genuine before thinking stolen.

Nope, could be old stock, off a bulk buy pallet. I know a chap who does this, recently had over 250 Stanley cups in one of his ‘mystery’ pallet buys and loads of designer brand trainers in another before xmas

Probably a reseller or could be fakes.

I bought a sonic toothbrush just after Christmas, the girl had listed it as ‘unwanted gift’ which seemed reasonable as I’d sold some of mine too. After I’d bought it, she messaged me to ask if I wanted any more as she was selling six of them!

What unfortunate luck for her, receiving so many HmmHmm
