Describe your mam in 3 words

With the day that’s in it , it got me thinking of 3 words I would think of when describing a loving mother .

The 3 words I thought of are the polar opposite from the words I would use to describe my own mam .

For my mam I think of drunk , self centered & selfish . Which is actually quite sad .

I rang her this morning to wish her happy Mother’s day and to say I would call
up after lunch with her gift & cards … she had gone to the pub when I got there !! I left them
in the porch .

Selfish, unaccepting, dead

Wonderful. Long dead.

Dissociated, friendly, independent

That’s why I don’t see mine, had years of it, she’s in 80’s now, not seen her for 20 years, toxic behaviour all my life, got to the stage where I couldn’t do it anymore, never knew how she would be. If I hear she’s died I won’t go to funeral, will I grieve, possibly, for what I should have had. I have an amazing relationship with my children, adults now
break free.

Selfish, weak, unaware.

Miserable, selfish and not dead

I asked my 8 yo for me: kind, funny, phone-addicted 😬

Kind, reliable, wonderful

Bitter, angry, (but) witty

Loving, interesting, fun. And hugely missed 😥

I feel less alone knowing I’m not the only one who doesn’t have a healthy relationship with my mother .

I asked my 8 year to describe me and she said I was good humoured, friendly and kind 😊

I miss her every day of my life.

@Neveranynameslefti probably should of but i had my kids with me and I didn’t want to make a big thing out of it . Next year she might not get a present off me .

Unfortunately, the older I get the more like her I look. 😞
But, I have my father's personality and disposition, phew!
