Shakshuka was very popular last week Smile

I had tea an hour ago - about to have coffee and check out the fridge for inspiration

Nothing ...

Peridot1 · 30/03/2025 11:25

I had a slightly burnt hot cross bun. I burnt it so can’t moan at anyone.

Am in cleaning up mode after having friends over for dinner last night. I quite enjoy being left to do it myself in stages.

I was brought a cappuccino in bed along with a freshly baked maple pecan pastry, Dh baked a croissant for himself. He is adorable. Married 25 years. As I don't usually eat in bed there were bits of pastry everywhere so we stripped the bed, put fresh bedding on and he has been working on lunch.

He usually bakes on a weekend anyway so we usually have fresh bread and baguettes. Bliss.

TeapotTitties · 30/03/2025 11:29

I never eat breakfast.

But I'm saving room anyway for the huge Sunday roast DH is making for 3pm 🤤🍗

Me too! My favourite, second only to left over curry

Mine too, cold pizza the next day is one of my favourite things 🤣 if I order a pizza I force myself to safe at least 3 slices no matter how much I’m enjoying it because I know how much I’ll love it cold the next day.

Dominos holds up the best for this purpose.

gingercat02 · 30/03/2025 11:43

Just toast and coffee as we are going out for lunch

Conundrumseverywhere · 30/03/2025 11:47

Scrambled eggs on toast with avocado

mamaduckbone · 30/03/2025 11:48

A slice of toast and jam which was a treat in itself as I've been low carbing all week and haven't eaten any bread.
Didn't get up until 10.30 so anything more would have spoilt my dinner.

SquigglePigs · 30/03/2025 11:49

We had to be out of the house at 8am so it was eat and run this morning but DD did give me some of her chocolate buttons with my cup of tea bless her!

BeaAndBen · 30/03/2025 11:50

Eggs Florentine - best breakfast in the world.

BurntBroccoli · 30/03/2025 11:53

Porridge with granola and a mug of fennel tea - same as I usually make.

FedUpandEatingChocolate · 30/03/2025 12:10

Bacon buttie I had to order the ingredients for from deliveroo and then cook myself. DH is working but I'm a bit annoyed he left nothing for me and the kids too have for brunch (he ate the bacon yesterday).

Although I'm trying not to grump as the kids and I have had a lovely chill morning.

FanofLeaves · 30/03/2025 12:18

Last year I mistakenly cooked the well out of date bacon that I was saving for the fox instead of the nice rashers DH had bought. Three days of absolute sickness hell 🤮 it was months before I could even look at a packet of bacon again

Gowlett · 30/03/2025 12:21

Had strawberries, Greek yoghurt, granola & pecans.
Two cups of tea. In peace, early this morning. Nice!

MrsSkylerWhite · 30/03/2025 12:22

I shall have a Maccies wrap of the day later on.

Husband and I shall be retiring to our flat in Scotland. We haven’t been able to go since Sept. because he has been very unwell. He’s finally on the mend so I’m driving up by myself for a couple of days. Shall only be cleaning in preparation for our first joint visit in months in a couple of weeks (builders have been in, not sure what I’ll find!) but so looking forward to a couple of quiet days in our beautiful place after several anxious mi the.

Plus, love driving so perfect MD (with the kids’s flowers and wine in the car) 😃

Anxious months

maw1681 · 30/03/2025 12:41

I had hot cross buns and coffee brought to me in bed

17CherryTreeLane · 30/03/2025 13:05

I had my parents over for brunch and we had french toast with bacon, fresh fruit and maple syrup. Delicious! The teenagers cleared up after, and made cups of tea.

RagzRebooted · 30/03/2025 13:15

I'm still in bed waiting for mine, but I might give up soon.
Downside of having teenagers... I'm not sure any of them are awake yet.

allmycagesweremental · 30/03/2025 13:17

DD bought me the hot cross bun pannatone as one of my Mother’s Day gifts because “you love hot cross buns and pannatone” - she’s not wrong and it was absolutely gorgeous with a cuppa this morning!

I may need this in my life … can I ask where it’s from?

TrickyD · 30/03/2025 13:59

A cup of tea,
a cup of coffee
a pikelet, (crumpet to some) with butter and Marmite
Another cup of coffee.

Exactly the same as every day, brought to me in bed by DH. Not LTB.

Of course - it’s from Waitrose and I highly recommend it!

StressedQueen · 30/03/2025 14:11

My 9 and 6 year old daughter insisted on making me buttered toast with a bowl of cornflakes and orange juice served on a tray. I ate that at about 9am and then went down about 10 and found a second breakfast that DH and my 3 teenagers made 😂Red velvet pancakes with lemon drizzle and syrup and some homemade pain au chocolats!
