Painting wall help!

So I saw this faux limewash thing on Instagram (always a bad move)
I have started it and I hate it
can I improve this or give up now and roller the lot tomorrow?

half of me can see the vision
half of me hates it

I actually like it. Especially with the stencil. Where did you get it?

It probably looks better from a distance than close up does it?

Stencil is eBay, it’s actually stickers
that was on there before, this wall gets marks from people walking past so I thought I would do a limewash effect to hide marks

I get what you were going for, but I'm not a fan. It needs a certain type of property I think.

I might just roller it back to the original colour tomorrow

I think it was worth a go but if it was me I’d have to repaint it all one solid colour.

Think I like it now it’s drying 😂

I left it overnight before I started finishing it off and it is actually growing on me a lot. Going to get a bit more done today and blended and hopefully that’ll be it

It was hard work but yes easy enough, I followed a few tutorials on insta
Most seem to use a white and then Egyptian cotton
