Times where you think you’re not listened to as a woman ( minor incidents)

I had an issue with something tech-related and was trying to get it fixed. I explained the issue and they did some tests and said there was no issue. I said I was still having problems. Then they said it was because one item wasn’t compatible with another and that was the problem. I explained that they were because I’d been using them together for several years with no issue (and had bought them because they were compatible). Then they said that a different item was wrong and I couldn’t operate it in that way. Again I said they’d been working fine together. Finally they run some more tests and concede there is an issue.

Would this have irritated you? Like I said in the thread it’s very minor but I do wonder if I was a man whether they’d have approached it the same way. The main annoying thing is it’s taken 2 maybe 3 x as long as it could have done. Or do I just need to get a grip?

Depends on the problem. I work in tech and it can often be a question of ruling things out. It depends how they asked.
