Wrongful parking ticket issued

I received a fine for one of my vehicles. Im registered keeper but husband drives it for his delivery job. The letter is from Civil Enforcement and states my husband parked the car at 5pm on 25/01/2025 and left the next day at 2 pm. This is completely wrong as one he has come home that night as usual around 11pm. Secondly he has proof on his delivery app to show him working past half 5 that day and early morning the next day. Ive appealed around 4 times giving the proof and asking them for proof to show me the car was parked there at night but I've never head anything directly from them. When you go to check the appeal it just says re appeal with no reasoning. On the website it states you can appeal through popla with the code given in our appeal letter but I haven't received any letter or email to acknowledge I've appealed. Im not paying the fine its 140 now. Will this eventually go to court as I'm getting no where and don't want debt collectors out. No number to call them or email. Just another number to pay. Thankyou

Have you told the police? It might be a cloned number plate.

Ask on pepipoo for advice.

Appeal

Put in the evidence you can prove he wasn't parked on the site.

If the appeal fails - which they often do...

Then go to poplar

I was accused of parking for 23 hrs in the local retail park. I'd actually had two separate visits there.

I got very good advice from from Martin Lewis's forum and the firm concerned eventually cancelled the fine. According to knowledgeable folk there, I was probably the victim of a 'double dip' scenario - the camera had missed my exit on the first day and no human had checked the footage. I strongly suggest that you go look at the relevant section on the forum.

These firms try to tire people into paying up.

The MSE forum has a newbies' section that you're supposed to read first. This advises you not to admit that you were the driver - but, of course, by the time you get to the stage of looking for advice, you've already been in contact with the firm.
