I"ll be 60 soon. I don't have slippers but I do have a comfy pair of flip-flops and cosy socks for the winter
My son is 21 this year so we have plans for a holiday.
There are days when I definitely feel my age. Other days are packed out with stuff.
I'm working on developing a happy medium, some comforts and concessions to my age but still doing more or less what I want to.
The women in my family tend to be quite long lived, into late 80s, early 90s so I've potentially got quite a lot of living to do yet.

I was 61 on Tuesday. I enjoy my job so am still working but on the odd occasion when a colleague winds me up I can comfort myself in knowing that I could retire at any time.
I have cosy slippers but also swim in a river all year round. And now I've joined a jive class and am making new friends.

Happy birthday 🥳. You do know if course that 60 is the new 40! My oldest DD took me to the Dorchester for afternoon tea with prosecco. Was disappointed I didn't get cards with 60 on them, everyone said they thought I might be upset,hell no! Free eye tests as well. It's only a number,"honey, you're only as old as the man you feel". Mine is 7 years younger. What have you planned. 74 now, slippers because the laminate is cold!

I was 50 a few months ago. Apart from being menopausal, im good! I have a great DH, 3 beautiful kids and a job. Chickens and lambs in the field. What is not to be happy about!
