intensive driving course - experience/recommendations?

Hi,
Has anyone used an intensive driving course provider? Which one? Would you recommend/avoid? How flexible and available was it actually? (Online reviews seem to be a real mixture!)

Situation is this: DD had about 10 hours of driving lessons and then her instructor stopped and we haven't been able to find another. She's been practising with us for the last few months and has (somewhat optimistically!) booked a test at the end of July. She has a period of a month or so in the summer where she hasn't got much on and we're wondering whether to throw money at an intensive course for her, but not sure how reliable companies are etc.

Would be really grateful for any info.

We did it for DS. He failed 2 tests, and they were able to get cancellations for him really quickly after the ones he failed, within a couple of weeks.

He had a few months of 1-2 hours a week doing normal lessons, but we were moving house and he needed to pass as public transport at our new place is rubbish, so went to an intensive course.

From starting with the intensive course, and passing his 3rd attempt, was 7 weeks, altho he did already have his theory test pass before then. The main waiting time at the moment is waiting for a new test date if you need one, so having a school that will do that, and quickly was a godsend.

I also did my motorbike licence a few years ago, and thats usually done as an intensive course, which I much preferred to the lesson a week I did for my car test.

I did it when I was 19. I did Monday-Thursday all day with the instructor, then test on the Friday. Because we had all day, we were able to drive further and do more because we didn't spend 20 minutes getting out of my small village to the test area.

I also did an intensive Pass Plus with the same instructor. Instead of 6 lessons, we did a one day course, so I was able to drive to London on the M25, etc., rather than staying local.
