Hello, I have recently seen a neurologist who thinks my symptoms maybe from anxiety (no emg done). I am struggling at the moment to accept this as my symptoms are near enough unheard of. Could someone comment if you have the symptoms below:
Muscle twitching all over including face tongue 24/7
Internal tremors

Wake up feeling like my body is vibrating or trembling
Feel like i slur sometimes and i forget a word in a sentence when speaking or say the wrong word
Sometimes feel like my tongue is cold on certain spot
Base of skull feels tight constantly
Does anyone have these symptoms related to anxiety?

It's mainly accepting that's it's "just" anxiety and I'm not dying of some horrible neurological illness.

I follow Dan Buglio on YouTube, called Pain Free You. He has a programme for chronic pain and symptoms.

I also take beta blockers for tachycardia and starred sertraline a couple of months ago, which has helped quite a lot. I also take magnesium glycinate for the muscle twitches and notice a difference if I run out.

I don't quite understand your reluctance for it to be anxiety. We live in a very anxious world and there is a lot of anxiety buzzing around so it makes sense that most of us are impacted in some way by it. There are ways of managing it so you can find what works for you.

@Kwb1234 how are you feeling now? Have you found anything to help? I’m having the same thing, very similar to @Crikeyalmighty who I’ve spoken to on another thread. Mine started after a virus and my episodes are driving me mad. I get this creeping feeling of pressure, and some minor pain in my head, buzzing, pins and needles. Feel rubbish as just want to get on with my life

I would want a 2nd opinion drs are very quick to blame anxiety especially in women when they can't easily figure out the problem. It hurts their ego to admit they don't know something so its easier to say it mental health related.
