Hi, can anyone tell whether my baby is a boy or girl I’m guessing but have no idea what I’m looking for 🙈 it is an 11 week scan photo.

the answer is I don’t know to be honest. I was just relieved everything was looking ok 🙄🙄🙄

It can be very accurate and many countries will tell you at 12 weeks gestation but NHS radiographers won’t. Here we wait until 20 weeks so OP wouldn’t have been able to ask.

I think 12 weeks is ideal rather than 11 OP but if you post this on the pregnancy board, people can tell you what they think.

So a competent sonographer couldn't tell you but you reckon randoms on Mumsnet can?

Sonographers generally won’t tell you at this gestation in the UK @Hobnobswantshernameback and they won’t be trained on nub theory here (it’s too early to see genitals)

They do in other countries though and there’s strong research to support nub theory at over 90 percent accuracy so OP isn’t daft to ask

Mumsnet isn’t great for this admittedly though and guesses always skew female for some reason. Some of the people guessing on the nub theory facebook groups are incredible so head there I say!
