Back to work anxiety

…is it just me?

I’ve just had a week off..I have a fairly responsible job. I don’t know why I get so anxious (I blame imposter syndrome) but I always dread going back after time off. I know it’s irrational as I’ll go in tomorrow & all will be fine.
I worry about what I’m walking back into - emails to read through, stuff that came in whilst I’ve been off.
I believe it’s called the Sunday scaries.
Deep down, I know I’ll be laughing at myself as all will be well.
I have palpitations, feel on edge and will have a rubbish night’s sleep tonight.
Anyone else suffer similar? Any tips to try and make the remainder of my Sunday more bearable?

I have this after only having a couple of days off! No advice I’m afraid but watching with interest.

I know folk that open up emails on Sunday night so they can see what they are in for on Monday morning. Personally I think that’s crazy!
it’s totally normal to feel a bit anxious after a period of leave but you can’t do anything about it and worrying about it rn is eating into precious time off. It’s never as bad as you think x

I get this if I’ve logged off before 10pm!

Yep, bit I think this is down to a micromanager, always seems to dig and blame the person who’s ‘off’

I think it’s a bit of a power mov personally in how to make themselves look good.
