I'm just finishing my first cuppa of the day, in bed, with the kittens. Boy cat's currently fighting toes! Girl is observing 🤣

When I've drunk my cuppa, I'll get dressed & put on the dehumidifier to finish drying yesterday's washing. There's a load or two to do today, as well 🙄.

Dd1 still wants the last of the blue dye on her hair & has some work to finish off so she'll do that. I'm not sure about dd2 - she needs to tidy her room though!

I want to remove my old set of nails, list some things on Vinted & maybe organise my beads 🤔 or finish sketching peg dolls...we'll see!

Gammon for tea, not sure what with! Followed by early showers and another episode of the most dreadful version of Dracula I've seen 🤣, then an early night ready for the last 4 days of term 🥳.

Im in bed on second cup of tea. Girl cat sleeping at my toes. Boy cat sleeping downstairs and DDog is just back from a walk and mouching for food.

We had a mega lazy day yesterday bar 3 dog walks which were nice. Still
pottered about house but was a much needed day of not much!

Today family are popping over and we might get out with the dog with them. Weather dependant.

I need to finish off clothes for holiday next week as we are very busy through the week.

Also need to get a small shop in.

Im doing some studying so hope to fit that in. Actually enjoying it.

Morning! I’m still in bed, just had a cuppa DH brought me, been unwell this week so mostly this weekend just resting trying to get better for back to work. Need to pop out to Next and Tesco for a few bits then home
for soak in the bath. Dd wants to play with the VR headset with DH so will happily leave them to that!!!

we have 2 more weeks at school @lucysmam- do you have longer off or do you go back before Easter?

@chickenfordinner we have two weeks off, back in for four days, Easter weekend off, then another four day week 🙄. Someone said it's because of the way the LA plan holidays but dd1's college finish a week later & are in the same LA 🤷‍♀️.

Morning! I'm on my second cuppa and nursing a rotten cold.

Yesterday I painted the fences, had a huge hike with the dog, did some planning for work, sorted the playroom out and sorted out some clothes drawers. So today I feel justified in having a long soak in the bath and reading my book!

Son is at his dads for tea and this is daughter's last week at uni before the Easter break, so alone for tea and I'm thinking peri chicken 😋

Morning!! I’ve been awake since 5.50 but DDog is having a sleepover with my sister so I’ve been twiddling my thumbs 🤣
4 coffees down. Waiting for DD to get ready and then we’re off into toooooown! Shopping, lunch and a sneaky bubble tea. 🧋

Everyone in the family, including my MIL, thought Mothers Day was today. 😂I even gave my own mum flowers and card yesterday (who pondered if it was this week, but I told her she was wrong haha). We had a cream tea planned at MIL, which we're still going ahead with. At least next week I can just stay in bed! 😂

Good morning @lucysmam and followers, it’s a murky morning here. I have just had a coffee after getting back from a long dog walk with our new rescue dog, she’s very 🥰. Having lead a very sheltered life for the past 8 years she’s making up for lost time!
DH is about to take ZD1 out to the village for a walk, coffee and gossip with the others who meet up there every Sunday morning.
ZD2 and I will enjoy the peace and quiet (although she’s snoring very loudly at the moment!) while I get dinner ready - Welsh lamb, roast vegetables, purple sprouting and mint sauce 😋
Nothing else planned for today except more dog walks later, I want to do some needlework or drawing too.

Morning @lucysmam and everyone. I read the Saturday thread in the afternoon but didn't post. I was hoping we'd get a picture of the birthday cats! 🐈 ☺️ I'm a crazy cat lady who doesn't have cats. 😂

I've been up for a bit already and have had my pampering scrubby shower. Waxed beforehand and then in shower washed/conditioned my hair, exfoliated feet, etc. I'm all dressed now and going to make myself a bit of breakfast.

Plan today is to catch up on some housework but more importantly client work. I'm invoicing them tomorrow and want / need to stuff in as many hours as possible before Monday evening. Today's housework includes several loads of laundry, stripping and aerating the bed for a few hours, then laying down new clean sheets this evening. I also want to meal prep a bit tonight by seasoning some meat and roasting vegetables for the week.

Good morning Lucysmam and All,

I got up at 9.30am today as ended up waking at 4.30am due to the lovely menopause (hot and anxiety) but thankfully managed to drop back off to sleep after much flinging sheets off and getting cross.

DD is still upstairs, I know she’s awake as can hear some pottering about so she should be down shortly.

Need to get work and school uniforms washed and do a mini clean in the kitchen so will probably get that done while DD is hopefully doing some homework later today. Food shop coming late afternoon so if it’s not pouring down with rain we’ll try and get a walk in the woods done before that arrives and then settle down to watch a film.

2 weeks left of school here and I have a week off work in the Easter break so might spend some of today researching a mini break for DD and I in that time!

I made next weeks sandwiches for packed lunches and put all but tomorrows ones in the freezer. It saves so much time, as you're not having to get the fixings/equipment out every time.
I have a bit of printing I need to do for my holiday in a couple of weeks, and for my private tutoring side-hussle.

Just in the queue for my class. Need to catch up.on the F1 when I get home and then a quiet afternoon/evening as we were out last night.
Are you finished for the term on Friday @lucysmam? We aren't done until 11 April. I vote roasted pots and macaroni cheese with your gammon

Good morning @lucysmam and everyone. I have already braved the chill of the shed with Mr Dilemma and done a stocktake of the outside freezer - go me!

I cooked a cassoulet yesterday which we were going to eat yesterday evening... but I discovered that Mr Dilemma had bought some ham which was due to go out of date today so we had ham, egg and chips instead. So instead of freezing 2 cassoulet meals we needed to freeze 3, hence the need to find some space in the freezer. So tonight we're having liver and bacon casserole out of the freezer. Tomorrow we're having roast turkey with all the trimmings (except my fantastic home-made chestnut stuffing) - I bought a frozen complete turkey meal from Iceland cheaply after Christmas.

We may take a wander round Lidl and B&M later perhaps - or perhaps not. My freezers don't seem to have a lot of ingredients although they do have a lot of food, so although I was planning on doing some batch cooking during my week off I don't really need to. We need potatoes anyway. I will see what Mr Dilemma wants to do. We are, at present, watching a 'romantic comedy' film on the telly.

I have been up a while and had a few cups of tea and toasted bagel for breakfast.

No plans for the day. I should go for a walk.

Am about to do the dishwasher and find some laundry to do. Have some ironing to do later. It’s a big pile from my holiday and I’ll get through it bit by bit. Need to order some lampshades.

Keep saying I will read in the afternoon but I spend too much time scrolling on here or Facebook or Instagram. So I might lock my iPad away! Actually I might have a soak in the bath in a bit with a book and a face mask on.

Dinner is steak, roast potatoes, onions, mushrooms, peas and pepper sauce. And red wine.

Awww happy birthday beautiful kittens.

Although I guess they are cats now? (We always used to call them kit-cats at that in-between age)

Annoyingly I woke up at 6am again today. Did the same last week too. Only day I don't need to set an alarm and I'm up at the crack of dawn.

Shopping has already arrived, older two gone to the local park (2 mins and one small road to cross) before lunch.

DP will be home by 1pm and he'll take all 3 for a scoot / bike ride to get some fresh air and exercise. Although it looks like rain?

I will bread some chicken for later and make a coleslaw. We're going to have thay for dinner with balsamic new potatoes.

Need to hoover the whole house at some point and have another airer to clear so I can hang out some more laundry.

We're going to attempt a family boardgame evening later. I'm after some more wholesome (less screen related) activities. Let's see how long we last!!

we just had breakfast and now getting ready to go out for shopping and lunch out. It’s not a typical Sunday but the last few weeks were very busy with various things so we decided to treat ourselves.
DD needs to do some homework for college later , she was at the party yesterday so was busy with preparation 🙂. DH was hoping to cut grass today. I need to get through my emails. Dinner would be whatever leftovers we had at the fridge.

Ive been up about an hour having coffee.
I slept like a baby last night because it pissed down of rain loved it.
Today i will do my nails straighten my hair put the washing on put that in the tumble get it ironed.
And chill for the rest of the day.

Morning! Happy belated birthday to the kitties!
I started to write a post yesterday but life intervened…
I’m currently lounging on the sofa, drinking tea, messaging friends and enjoying the blissful peace while DD is at her Sunday club.
One load of washing down, four to go…
DP will collect DD at 1, and then we’ll have some sort of chicken, roast veg and couscous affair for lunch. I don’t usually cook meat but I’m feeling so knackered that a bit more protein seems a good idea - hard to tell what’s just normal menopausal crap-sleep tiredness and what’s my current lack of iron.
Not sure what else the afternoon will hold, but DD will get her weekend treat of a bath in our ensuite - much deeper than her bath and she pretends she’s a mermaid 🤣.
Fruit, cheese and crackers for supper, then maybe embark on White Lotus s. 3 if we can stay awake!

Up at 6.45 with teen to watch the grand prix. Been in the garden for the last hour digging out some ivy roots. Now enjoying a cuppa on my comfy garden chair.

Hoping to create a new curved border this afternoon using some old red bricks.

Think I'm being buttered up by teen to taxi him to/from the gym later. No buses here on Sundays, he's currently bikeless and it's too far to walk. Waiting to see how willingly he gets on with a couple of chores I've asked him to do!

Then it'll be a relaxing evening in front of TV before an early night as I slept really poorly last night.

Morning all just about . Bin a busy morning housework preparing dinner as got all the tribe down bout 2 so it will be mayhem . Once they all go about 5 il square up and shower and look forward to watching the new drama with Julie Graham and Sean bean with a glass of white wine . Enj your day everyone .

Just had boiled eggs and soldiers, breakfast of absolute champions!
And for my next trick I will be going to lie down as still not feeling 100% after being wiped out by a nasty virus for a couple of weeks 🥴
dh has suggested a little stroll this afternoon so I may be forced into some fresh air!

Had a terrible night's sleep but managed to make it up for a morning swim. DH and I have just been for a walk round the woods (very muddy and wet) and going to meet some friends at a local cafe this afternoon.
