How to improve DD's written work (primary age)

DD is 7, in Y2. She is in general a good reader. She was very keen on writing and was good at it when a bit younger.

At her recent parents meeting her teacher has mentioned that her spelling requires improvement which came as a shock as she gets 10 out of 10 in all her spelling tests 😬. So obviously this doesn't seem to translate into her written work. She even makes silly mistakes like ot instead of to, fel instead of fell. Very basic stuff.

Any ideas how to improve her spelling other than just reading a lot? She does read a lot bless her. English is my second language so I'm not sure how to support her as I learned English in a different way as an adult.

When she reads she says sometimes the words jump on the page and she loses track of where she was. Nothing severe just sometimes. I got an appointment with an optometrist for her next month, might be worth checking her eyes. She also says that when she sees numbers inserted in the writing, let's say 'He was 35 years old' , she says she forgets how to read the number..and I noticed that she stops when there is a number in a sentence and thinks about it.

Thank you
