How much does your cleaner do in 90 mins a week?

House is three bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, kitchen diner, living room and hallway/stairs. Not expecting all of that in 90 mins! So need to work out what pattern we need or what to prioritise. Bedsheet changing is at the bottom of the list (as in we can do that, not as in they never get changed…) and we’ll continue to do all the laundry.

That’s not nearly enough time. My house is smaller and my cleaner does 2.5 hours each week. No ironing, beds etc.

For 90 mins I would expect just dusting surfaces, cleaning all floors and and a light wipe over of bathrooms.

Agreed that’s nowhere near enough. I would swap to twice weekly and do 3 hours.

You guys much have some slow as fuck cleaners!

I'd have them prioritise jobs I hate in order of preference:

Bathroom and downstairs loo
Kitchen
Vaccum floors and dusting

Every so often I'd book a deep clean for

Inside windows
Skirting and corners
Deep clean of kitchen and oven
Deep clean of bathrooms
Cleaning of bins

Ect.

Oh how I wish I could afford a cleaner

I'm surprised anyone will come out for just 90 minutes. It's a 2 hr minimum here.

Provided you keep on top of stuff day to day, you will probably be happier with the clean if you switch to 3 hours fortnightly.

Well, yes, I know 90 mins doesn’t cover the lot - that’s why we need to prioritise based on what’s realistic. We have the option of 90 mins weekly where we are but if three hours fortnightly is likely more efficient then that’s very helpful to know.

Mine did more than I wanted, more that was in the job description. My ex seemed happy enough though.

It really does depend and you need good faith on both sides. I can spend anywhere between 20 minutes and 2 hours in a bathroom. Kitchens are a minefield. Clients who called themselves houseproud often had layers of built up grime that they overlooked in their nightly wipedown. Cleaners themselves vary a lot. Some are sloppy, short you on time, spend too much time on their phone. You kind of just have to wait and see!

This is the exact size of my home, I have 2 bathrooms. In 90 mins I barely do half of it
