How’s everyone doing? Good week? I’m feeling a bit off but reckon it’s because I’ve had a bit of a crap day foodwise & haven’t drunk much water. Just made a nice cuppa & chilling out with DH. DD16 & I went out to a National Trust place this morning ( I recently took out membership) & it was lovely to spend time with her. She can be great company. We’ll be getting a welcome voucher with our official membership cards & we were planning what we could spend it on in the shop. I fell in love with a cuddly toy dragon. Super cute. Bought DD some crystals including a beautiful big piece of rose quartz. Popped to Pets at Home on the way back. They had 2 adorable bunnies in. Also went to FarmFoods. After lunch, I went to Asda & got a few bits in Tescos. Starting tea soon (garlic mushroom & cheese tartlets with new potatoes & petitpois). Have already scrubbed the spuds. No Corrie tonight so DH & I might watch a film, although I’m pretty sleepy so we’ll see how it goes 🥱😴

I have had a couple of days annual leave to end the week, cleaned my house, had lunch with a friend then did the school run. Starting to feel peckish again now so might raid the cupboard and come back to being horizontal on the sofa!!

I’m just about to head out and collect my daughter from work, then having a glass of wine when I get back.
Because it’s Friday!!

Also hoping DH will offer to go and get her, but he won’t. 😢

I have worked so hard this week. I’m now on the sofa watching football which really means I’m sat on the sofa drinking wine looking at my phone and pretending to watch the football so the kids don’t disturb me. I have absolutely no interest other than whether Lewis Skelly has a good game. Planning on a low key weekend with lots of walks and maybe some cleaning up if I get the time as I’m pretty behind and worried about the spiders are moving in.

Sounds like a pretty good day OP!
I've had a few bits of bad news at work this week. So I have enjoyed my wine all the more with my pizza tonight.
The eldest is at Scout camp all weekend so I'm currently watching Young Sheldon with my youngest, cosy on the couch under the same blanket.

Sounds nice op I used to take my kids to pets at home to see the animals they used to love it.
We’ve had a take out from a new dim sum place that’s opened near by. It was delicious!
Im psyching myself up for a busy weekend our 3 youngest are all very sporty. We have 3 football matches, two netball matches, a football social and older dd is doing her first external mooting competition tomorrow and has Cambridge university in the first round so I will be waiting see how she gets on.

Finished work at 4, after a busy week. I haven't slept well all week and I've got a bit of a cold so I've pretty much sat on the sofa, enjoyed the silence, snoozed and looked at my phone. I tried a tv show but my eyes were hurting so had another snooze. Obviously it's needed but I do feel guilty for not being more productive.

Hellish day at work, and now sorting washing. Living the dream.

Zippidydoodah · 21/03/2025 21:42

Mooting?

After a busy, full on week of work, I’ve sat with my kids and watched a bit of the traitors. Cooked chicken fajitas. Would love to go to bed right now.
