Operation Mincemeat - restaurant nearby

Going to see Operation Mincemeat for my birthday in the summer and would love if anyone had some ideas for good, interesting not too pricey restaurants in the general area. Fortune theatre, nearish to Covent Garden.
Performance at 3 so looking to have a nice lunch first, within walking distance. Just in London for the day so lunch and theatre will basically be all we do (DH and I). Many thanks.

What price range?

Palm Court Brasserie on King Street has good food and isn't expensive, but the tables are quite close together (which presumably lets them keep prices low). You'd need to book as it's popular.

Brother Marcus is a lovely place, delicious food, and it’s in a nice location in Covent Garden.
For something special I’d probably go to Petersham Nurseries, I’d like to try that. Or the new Jamie Oliver.

Ooh, that looks nice. Kind of Cote-like but not a chain.
Pricewise, maybe up to £30 for a two course menu - this fits the bill. I think we would book wherever we go, I don't want to spend an hour trying to find a place and then ending up in KFC.

Looks like the CG Petersham Nursries is no longer a restaurant so apologies!

The Boulevard Brasserie on Wellington St is nice.

Thank you. I am getting pretty hungry now, wrong time to start a thread! Petersham too pricey for us but Brother Marucs a definite contender.

Brilliant! I am so glad I asked, I was floundering around on GoogleEarth.
I'm not even going for a few months but need something to look forward to.

Bumping my own thread as we are going next week and I am just trying to make a final decision of somewhere to book.
Any other ideas?
