Coffee table chat

I’m trying to find a coffee table and have decision fatigue!
my current one has been damaged whilst decorating so needs to be replaced. It was a cheap and cheerful Facebook marketplace find but was super useful. It’s a lift top one so lots of storage but also acts like a dining table when needed, which is great as I don’t have room for one.

all of the lift up ones I’m seeing either look really cheap and tacky, or are really chunky! I’ve attached a screenshot of the closest one I’ve been able to find that I like, but I’m not sure it’s quite right.

in my head, all of the ones with a solid base will look too chunky, I like seeing floor space underneath as I feel like it makes the room look bigger - but this is where I’m curious to see other people’s!

I really like this one from next, if it was faux leather then I think I’d go for it but I feel like faux chenille won’t wear very nicely.

Yes I saw that, it’s just such a weird shade! I could handle an aged leather type but that’s just so…. Orange.
I use my coffee table for things like candles / coffee mugs / kindle, etc so I’d need some sort of tray if I got that one. It’s also a fraction too big which I’m trying to use to talk myself out of it!

Which, the next one or the one in the picture? I’ve still not decided but I’m just impatiently wanting to be rid of my broken one already!
