I’m currently on day 6 of a crappy cold - blocked sinuses, can’t breathe, utterly exhausted and woolly headed.

Had enough now, tell me your magic cures!

Garlic

No gluten or cows milk.

Garlic and horseradish tablets (I don’t know if you can get them in the UK).

Loads of steam.

Slice of lemon, some peeled ginger and a spoonful of manuka honey in boiling water. Just sip away at it, really helps clear my nose / sinuses.

Homoeopathy. I always have abc30 in my supply at home. Store in a dark dry place.

I buy on Amazon. I usually take the first sign if a cold. No more than 3 doses a day. Stop as soon as symptoms improve.

Nothing to eat or drink 15 mins either side of the remedy.

No doubt I will be dismissed on here shortly as I know most mumsnetters take a dim view on homoeopathic!!

paracetamol, olbas oil, steam, water, and rest.

I’ve chucked tons of garlic in every dinner I’ve made since I started feeling poorly!!

I don’t have dairy but the gluten thing might be worth a try, I’m at the ‘try anything’ stage.
Have also had ramen noodles in miso with ginger, chilli and garlic, and lots and lots of tea.

Vick on my chest at night and Night Nurse ladt night.

I really don’t understand when people say ‘just a cold…’ 😂

Lemon, honey and whiskey and chunks of fresh ginger with a dash of hot water on top. A hayfever tablet for the blocked nose.

Obviously it doesn’t cure but it does ease things a bit.

Congestion Relief Capsules
Phenylephrine Hydrochloride is the magic ingredient.

There are different strengths it seems.

And honey with hot water and a chopped up satsuma ... and when you've drunk it eat the satsuma.
