Need to report to school?

My kids go to a rural primary school. Most parents drive but a couple get a bus. There is a narrow pavement at the bus stop along a fast road until the lane down to school.

When I was dropping my DS off earlier I had to swerve away as one parent with their nursery kid was on the edge of the pavement and looked like they were about to go into the road! Was a real shock and scared to think what might happen, the parent has multiple kids and am worried they can’t look after them properly. Do you think I need to tell the school or am I being OTT?

Yes I think you're being ott

Hoppinggreen · 18/03/2025 15:20

OTT

Lol.

Parent walks along pavement with their child is hardly a reportable offence 🤣

It was your decision to swerve unnecessarily.

OTT....

Thank F* for that.

Sorry to involve you in this reverse but I had to check that I wasn’t going mad. I am the parent that was ‘reported’ by the stasi parent police

What would you actually be reporting to the school? Because what you wrote in your post is "one parent with their nursery kid was on the edge of the pavement and looked like they were about to go into the road".

Person with small child is stood on the edge of the pavement... yes, and?

Oh a reverse, sigh.

What did the school actually say to you then? That a parent literally just told the school "I saw X parent and their child stood on the pavement and was worried they may go into the road"?
