Thinking about going along with DP. He's much shorter than me and nether of us have any ability whatsoever, but it says suitable for complete beginners.

Is it going to be fun or will we look ridiculous.

I'm thinking it might be less awkward with the height difference than more traditional ballroom or intimate Salsa?

Yes- I have been doing it for 9 years and started as a complete beginner. Absolutely love it and it is really friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend it and I dance with people who are taller and shorter than me and it works just fine.

I went once when staying in a city, I don't think I've ever had so much fun. Unfortunately there isn't one near me! Wear something that you won't get too warm in - it is quite energetic!

Re looking ridiculous - I probably did (I have dyspraxia) but no one else cared so I didn't either.

Do it! I did it back in time, great fun. I've got busy with other things now. You dance with loads of different people anyway, but it doesn't matter.

Do you "use" it outside of the sessions? I.e. would you dance Ceroc together at a party or dinner dance?

I met my partner there so we do sometimes dance it together in other places. We mainly go to Ceroc freestyle dances (separate from the classes) and have lots of dances, both together and with lots of different people. I’ve made loads of friends through it. There are lots of Ceroc dance evenings held all over the place so hopefully you’ll find plenty of places to try it out.
