Holiday for 16 year old

I have been saving for a while to take my dd on a nice holiday for her 16th birthday, I want some where a bit more special than Spain/portugal etc but I have no clue where to go!
Budget is about 3k without spending money and it has to be in October half term 2026, due to GCSEs etc and I would ideally like five days (7 at an absolute push) please help! I have looked at Miami, New York, Cape Verde but have no clue!! I just want it to be special! Oh also there are 4 of us, two adults, dd and my younger child, please throw your ideas at me!

For £750 per person really you need to be looking at Europe, but options are limited due to the fact it’s October. Cyprus or Crete potentially? Or yes Spain especially the canaries. Cape Verde I would say tread carefully, it wasn’t great according to friends they prefer the canaries.

Cyprus or Tenerife / lanzarote will be worth looking at
on that budget which won’t be able to do Miami unless you have air miles etc
would also look at half board / all inclusive to get value

I’ve seen on Thomas cook Miami and New York for under 3k, I haven’t heard great things about Cape Verde either, so going to scratch that off my list!

Cyprus is a good shout!

I would have a look at Turkey too. You could do New York but would need a lot of spending money

Depends what you are looking for and what you want to do. NYC, meh. Miami meh. I wouldn’t go to the States right now. If you are thinking Cape Verde I would suggest Azores or Iceland instead. For cities I would do Rome or Barcelona.

Rome is wonderful! And you can do day trips from the main station to Pompeii and even Florence at a push (you can buy the tickets on trainline)!

I'm taking my 16 year old to Athens. They are mad into Greek mythology and their Gods so we are going on trips to lots of Temples.

What about Paris? Or Barcelona.
