Progesterone pills

I'm waiting for a bilateral oophorectomy. In the meantime I'm on prostap injections to turn everything off and taking her patches and progesterone tablets.

Since taking the tablets, sometimes, not every day I feel totally drunk for about half an hour. Dizziness is a side effect so I've put it down to that but it's not every time so I'm a bit confused. Now being three sheets to the wind for a while isn't all bad but trying to hold conversations, hold my head up and keeping my eyes pointing in the same direction is a bit embarrassing when I'm out.

Does anyone else feel like this?

I know with progesterone pills for HRT you're advised to take them at night as they can have a sedative affect

Is there any directions abut taking with food? It's best to take on an empty stomach (1 hr before or 2 hrs after food) otherwise you're likely to get more side effects. You absorb more progesterone if you take it with food, apparently! Also agree with PP, take at bedtime.
