Vbac - quicker second labour ?

Hello! With dc1 I had to have an emergency c section as chord was round baby preventing dc coming out (per notes after). However I was fully dilated (took about 3 horrific days to get there). Wondered if anyone has experience of a vbac post emcs and second labour still being quicker than first? Not sure I can deal with another 3 day labour and read second labours tend to be quicker but not sure if that applies to my situation. I was definitly fully dilated and pushing before they realised the chord problem. X

Yes labour with vbac was literally half the length of labour which ended in EMCS at 9 cm

Well done :) did you find it an easy decision deciding to go for a vbac if you don’t mind me asking? X

In my heart I wanted to go for a vbac but I thought it through very carefully. I'm glad I did but wouldn't do it again iyswim!

Yes my first labour was basically the same as yours days of agony then emergency c section.

With Dd2 pains started at 5am by noon she was born straightforward quick vaginal birth. My births were like they happened to two different people. No decision were made dd2 just arrived fast 5 weeks early.

Hi there first labour was cat 1 emcs at 10cm after 2 hours of pushing. 33 hours.

Vbac was 5 hours start to finish.
