Velvetiser Whisk help needed

I've seen many a velvetiser threads on MN over the years and ive went to take mine out of hibernation and it appears at the bottom one side of the black bottom is raised. I don't think this is normal and ive tried checking videos and images but YouTube especially is rancid with adverts. So I thought I'd ask if any of yours is like this?

Looking straight on at mine, there is a raised ‘cross’ on the bottom so not just one side, hard to tell from your photo if it’s the same though

Yeah one of the prongs of the cross is risen on mine if that makes sense on the side.
