Going on our first family holiday abroad, I haven’t been since I was a child and feeling a bit anxious about travelling with my own (they are preteens)
What do you have on your holiday checklist?
we have a bit of a drive to the airport and then a flight with a short layover so any tips for a long journey also appreciated.
is travel insurance with my bank ok? (We don’t have an preexisting conditions)

Bit of a broad question really! I guess there are a lot of variables but on the whole I’d suggest passport and insurance documents, medication and keys/airport parking/car hire details/sun cream and clothes are the essentials.
Are you staying in a self catering villa or hotel?
Devices for flights with stuff downloaded, headphones charged and a book if you read.

I’d add a portable phone charger to the list, but I’d second the poster above
