Collagen supplement but which?

I want to use it for gum health however I see it has to be bovine peptides as that’s best for gums. Any skin and hair improvements are a bonus. Bovine is fine but I’d also like to take type 2 as that covers your joints too. I can’t see where to buy this.

Vital Proteins - I’ve taken and can taste, also concerned about news coverage of heavy metals being present
Ancient and Brave - very tempted as it does a type 1 & 2 and looks v natural
Absolute - could I take this along side just a type 2 (its marine though not bovine) as I really like the jelly application as putting in a drink is kind of off putting to me.

basically any recommendations / experiences welcome but my main reasons are gum and joint health!

I use ancient and brave. On my 3rd jar, very happy so far. I take it in coffee, no taste. I’m also taking biotin to improve my hair growth.

Willpowders - grass fed bovine and fully traceable type 1 and 3 collagen peptides (body processes peptides better). Dissolves tastelessly in any liquid/food

Peptides is great for the gums which is exactly what I’m looking for. Thanks!

Pleased to hear that ancient and brave don’t taste of anything too.

Can I take a type 1 and type 2 separately, can’t find any that are combined, only 1 and 3. Can you take too much?

There's very little evidence that there is any benefit from taking collagen supplements. You'd be better off increasing the amount of protein in your diet.

Depends on what you want it for, Willpowders say 5-15g per day but if your training/peri upto 30g can be beneficial. I don't think you'll come to any harm if you use too much though.

Willpowders is also high in protein, 10g collagen gives you 9.8g protein.

I deffo don't work for them, I just really rate their products, none of it is UPF and it's all clean.

I use Feel. It's a vegan brand, I'm not vegan.

It's supposedly better due to size of molecule or something. I'm not sure. But I like the taste of them somewhat.

Untrue, there are lots of studies on periodontal health improvements from type II bovine collagen supplements.

I eat a really good diet and am still b12 deficient, this is genetic. Diet cannot solve all issues I’m afraid.

I think I’ll go with this as it’s slightly cheaper than Ancient and Brave, and just use the Holland and Barrett type 2 for the gums and joints as it’s also half the price of ancient and brave noble.

Also can’t chew all that protein with no teeth haha. I need all the help I can get!
