Avoid M&S, interflora and letterbox flowers. I like Waitrose or phone a florist close to where the receiver lives

Bloom and Wild have always been excellent for me.

One time I'd sent dm flowers and she'd raved about how lovely they were. Subsequently I got an email from B&W saying that some people had reported poor quality so they were offering to send a second bunch of flowers and gave a choice.
I replied and thanked them, but said that the flowers had been lovely so I didn't need to send a second bunch. Within a few minutes I got another personalised email saying that they'd love to send a bunch to someone else I knew who I thought would deserve one. So I sent some to a friend (who was delighted) who had been having a hard time, I said this and they sent the most humungous load of beautiful flowers.

I also once put the wrong address down, when sending flowers at about 11:30pm and emailed in a panic as I'd asked for next day delivery. I got a very quick response along the lines of "don't panic. I'll sort it" from what turned out to be not the normal admin people, but they'd happened to see the email and knew that quick response was more important than a well-typed response!

They also quite regularly send money off offers!

Thank you everyone. I’m going to ring a florist local to my friend in the morning and take it from there. 🌷

I think that is the right call.

The last time I sent some this way was to a relative who's mother's funeral it was. I wanted something simple just to let the family know I was thinking about them (I couldn't go it was 200 miles and I had a chest infection).

We ended up having a chat and she recommended something that meant the flowers were already in water and they were well recieved.

If I’m sending flowers to someone in a different part of the country I search for the best local florist to them and order over the phone. I’ve received decent flowers by post a few times and they’ve always been a bit lack lustre.
