Sorry - read the title several times before posting, and still missed the typo

Absolutely shocked and sickened to read this.

My daughter went there fir riding lessons, and "worked" as a helper in exchange for riding lessons when she was around 10 and went there for quite a few years. Thank god, she wasn't one of his victims. She said he was very creepy, and kept away from him as much as possible.

This sick pervert would have preyed on these children, knowing he could manipulate them, because they would likely have done anything just to be around the ponies.

I don't suppose there were only three victims, and hopefully any others will feel able to come forward now he's been convicted.

A close up of a mug shot showing an older man with grey hair and eyebrows. He has blue eyes.

Police say he is a "dangerous offender" who sexually abused girls for his "own gratification".

Oh goodness just horrendous

did you get any feeling about him? Did your dd share with you her concerns?

HurdyGurdy19 · 15/03/2025 18:06

No, I never saw him. Just the other employees, who seemed OK.

My daughter never said anything about him to me. But she was desperate to be around ponies, so probably wouldn't have wanted to risk jeopardising that.

She did say today when she saw the story that looking back, she can see that he said some inappropriate things, but she was young and naive, and didn't see them for what they were.

Oh what a shock OP.

My riding instructor from when I was a child 30 years ago was jailed about 10 years ago for the same. TBH I never had a clue, but thinking about it he always had open favourites and a little cohort of hangers on who basked in his special attention. I was jealous of them tbh and thought it was about their abilities. I know better looking back.
