Ilizarov frame/ X frame on leg

Hi, my relate has just had one of these put on

She's coming home tomorrow can anyone who's has 1 or had a relate have one give any tips for when they got out of hospital.
Any tips for sleeping at home
Any tips for physio
Tips for getting around the hpuse/outside
How to ensure theyvdpnt get an infection
How to build up strength quickly

Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated thanks

These frames do amazing things I had one following an accident & now all healed.
There is a very helpful Facebook group: illazarov/ Taylor spatial frame support group
It helps to keep it raised on pillows & I found it more comfortable at night to tie up the foot to the frame with a bandage like a sling, but check with surgeon.
I asked to start physio with frame still on & obviously do the exercises!
re infections I left it alone as much as possible & followed the cleaning routine as told & had no infections.
