What music they will be playing the care home where you may live in the future? My MIL is in her 80's they are playing WW2 stuff, big band music etc in the home she lives in. I am late 60's born, teen in the 80s, fan of metal, gothic, Industrial and alternative music and can only hope that if I do end up in a care home (hopefully not) that they will be playing Sisters of Mercy, The Cure, Metallica, The Mission, Lamb of God, Marilyn Manson, Slayer, VNV Nation, Combichrist etc. I would also be happy if they played a bit of dance and trance, Sandstorm, a bit of 70s and 80s musicals such as Rocky Horror and Little Shop of Horrors.

My mum is in a home and I have wondered this! My era would be stock, aitkin and waterman up to britpop, but i was into alternative like the sisters of mercy, the cure, the smiths, new model army etc. But they play old wartime songs in my dms care home, and she was only just born then.

Presumably we'll get re runs of eastenders, twin peaks, dallas etc?

At my DM's care home they have recently had a Queen tribute, the 'actual' Shawadddywaddy did a performance and apparently it is Elvis tomorrow! Maybe it depends on whoever books the acts!
I would be hoping for U2 if I make it long enough.
