13 yr old DS loved 'The Letter for the King' - but struggling to find other similar books. Recs pls!

A slightly reluctant reader, DS loved A Letter for the King, which I guess is light fantasy.

Any suggestions for similar books - he's nearly 14. He doesn't like heavy fantasy. He doesn't like thrillers...

He likes his phone, though!😩

There is a second book - secrets of the wild wood also by Tonke Dragt that is good. The Summoner books by Taran Matharau might appeal.
