Flushable wipes?

Are any toilet wipes really flushable or do they risk blocking the house plumbing? If the latter, what are you supposed to do with the used ones that isn’t really gross?

In order for them to be truly flushable, they should disintegrate like toilet paper when wet. You can't produce wipes that can be stored wet in a packet and pulled out individually and still easily disintegrate when wet. So, although the toilet wipes are technically flushable (as in, they disappear when you flush them) and biodegradeable (meaning at some point, far in the future, they will break down) it doesn't mean they won't cause problems blocking pipes.
I use them occasionally and just throw them in the bathroom bin.
