Reading bands - help

Trying to decide a parents' evening report and getting nowhere on Google. Please help!

What does red 7+ mean?

I would assume it means red book band (which is end of reception/early Y1) and the 7+ maybe the book they are on (they go in order). Not all schools use the same standard book bands though, so it may mean something else locally.

Ohhh that may well be it! Thank you. The 7+ was throwing me as it doesn't seem to relate to any scheme out there!
