Ideas for games/activities for children on plane?

Long haul flight, never travelled longer than 4 hours before. Girl age 9 and boy age 6.

Would love some suggestions!

What do they like doing?? At that age, just let them do what they enjoy. Watch films. Play games. Read.

iPad / switch / sticker books, comics. Bring headphones and neck cushions and hopefully they might sleep. If it’s long haul there should be in flight entertainment systems - my kids binge watched movies.

We are screen free and have been on a few plane trips. We used

Mini chess set (DS and DH can do this for hours)

Some great ideas here from previous posters, my five liked anything "new" to them that they would not normally have (sticker books, colouring, etch a sketch things, making stuff etc.) not wheeled out too early, let them become bored by surroundings first, and 2 liked unlimited screen time on phones (with headphones) 2, sometimes 3 liked to sleep (always encouraged), fave toy, soft blanket, 1 or 2 liked buying and making a cup of tea and discovering what was on offer on the menu card (probs not a thing for long haul, we mainly did EJ or Ryanair - and I shudder to think what this cost, but we had a thing where as long as they were happy, we were happy !). "familiar" snacks and juice for the fussy eaters (also they don't necessarily feed you the way you might expect, even on long haul). Something easy for shoes, take off most of the time, wear for the trip to the loos (also encouraged, you never know when the seatbelt sign is coming on) also one spare outfit like soft PJs and a non-leaky plastic bag or two and a pack of wipes - we did not do one outfit each, but in case of spills (more frequent than I would like) or sickness (mine weren't luckily) we had something to put them in, and something to put their clothes in.
