We are taking the ferry to France this summer and driving on through Belgium into Holland to reach our destination. Have never done this before.

Are there passport checks at the border between France/Belgium and Belgium/Holland?

Do we just drive through (similar to going into Wales from England)?

You just drive through, you barely notice it.
