1st time at a Spa?

Somehow I’ve made it to 40 without ever setting foot in a spa..
Its not really my thing being pampered as I’m not massively girly.
However, a very good friend of mine is having her 40th at a spa and I can’t really not go.
So now I’m sat here overthinking everything.
What do I wear? What do I do?
Am I spending £75 on a day where I’m going to be bored etc

How I sometimes wish I wasn’t such a tomboy 😂

Check on their website if they provide robes and slippers -most do. Other than that, turn up in whatever you want and bring swimwear. It's basically just a chance to catch up with your friends in a relaxing environment, don't overthink it! Hope you have a lovely time.

Wear a swimsuit that you feel comfortable in. Take poolside flip flops too.

I would hope for that price they will.provide a towelling gown, towels and shower gels/shampoo in the showers.

Take your credit card for extras like food or additional drinks (some packages include some, some don't and almost all give options to buy more!). Take a pound coin for a locker although most are number locks nowadays.

Some people take books to read in the non watery spa rooms. Maybe less important if you are going as a group.

I love a good spa day and the excuse to do nothing!

I like spas for lazing around in hot bubbly water reading my waterproof kindle. Then a nice lunch and a snooze. If I go to one with lots of outdoor areas and it's a nice day, I can pretend I'm on holiday in a fancy hotel. I never have any treatments.

They vary quite a lot on what they include re:
Towels/robes/slippers
Food/drinks
Treatments
Timing - day, afternoon, evening

Could you say which spa so we can help better?

I love a spa day. Mostly lots of chatting, steam rooms/hot tub/sauna and eating lovely food in a bathrobe!

Bikini
Flip flops
Water bottle
Extra towel for sauna comes in handy
Padlock or £1 for lockers if needed.
Shampoo etc

Have fun!
