Talk to me about outside security lights please

After an attempted break in next door I am thinking of getting motion activated security lights for my back garden. Are they likely to get activated by cats etc? Is it possible to get ones that aren't? I don't want a light that's on all the time.
Also considering whether I need to get a light that is with a security camera also, any thoughts on this? A smart one that I can check on my phone and see what's going on, and turn the light off or on?
Thoughts and suggestions welcome thanks

Get lights that shine on your actual doors/property, and not into your neighbours bedroom.
Ours do get triggered by cats, but they're not too bright so it doesn't bother us.
No idea about cameras, sorry

Ours always get activated by our cats (and everyone else's cats).
😂

That's disappointing to hear, was hoping to avoid that

Yeah I'll be careful with positioning. It's fields opposite apart from my neighbour to my left
