Examples of good CVs...?

I'm a long term contractor but I need to update my CV. I used a recommended service a few months ago (significant number of 5* reviews on Trust Pilot)...but I'm just not sure if it's right...layout, the tenses used etc. I'm also not sure how robustly it would stand up to ATS tracking but I also don't want it to sound like its written by AI.

I wonder if anyone can direct me towards a good CV example?

Thanks

There are loads of examples on line. There is no such thing as the perfect CV - what's great for one hiring manager might not be so great for another.

Just make sure it's a clean, clear font, that key information stands out, font sizing and alignment is consistent.

(I have looked at many y10 CVs today, doing mock interviews, and they have all formatted them differently.)

Safest bet would be to ask contacts who recruit in your industry - I've worked and recruited in academic, medical, business, and public sector professional services and the 'typical' style is different in each. Take a look at LinkedIn and Harvard Business Review for up to date advice about what to include but really the people who will be best to advise you are the kind of people who'll be picking out applicants for the types of job you'd want to apply for.

there is a website called 'askamanager' which has lots of good advice on how to write a CV.

https://www.askamanager.org/category/resumes

if you are searching google, search for examples specific to your field because the conventions differ a lot by field.

also, make sure your cover letter addresses every point in the 'person spec' and shows how you meet them. I recently reviewed 75 applications for 1 job and the ones that bother to organise things according to the person spec tend to end up at the top of the pile.

Chat got can be really helpful- give it a job description and your details and ask it to optimise a cv for it. Then edit it to make it yours.
