4yo DS worst diarrhoea I’ve ever seen

Started Sunday morning, still continuing! Sorry for tmi but I’ve just changed his nappy (he’s asd) and it was literally pure water. Halfway up his back. I’ve never seen anything like it. Chicken korma style🫣 The thing is he’s not unwell with it. He still wants to eat and drink, he’s still playing and running around. No signs of illness at all.

When my DC have had bugs in the past they’ve always been unwell with it but it’s only lasted 24 hours.

How long is diarrhoea like this normal?

Call the 🤬 doctor. Not us. Don't ask random strangers on the internet.

Edit: to clarify my incomprehensible post.

@NCIRL Very helpful thanks! Although you don’t make much sense considering I’ve written this post and not called mumsnet

@NCIRL I was planning on but they aren’t open yet. This is a site for parents to ask for advice when they are unsure on something. Go and have a coffee or something and take your bad attitude with you

It's not. I'd advise you consult a pharmacist, or GP after 48 hours of it.

Definitely chat to a pharmacist and if it goes on longer than 2 days I'd speak to GP too as he's at risk of dehydration. Even if drinking enough water, he could get an electrolyte imbalance. If he's autistic can he communicate his health state clearly? Keep a close eye on him. It can be normal - my little boy has had horrific diarrhoea like this but been fine in himself - but it doesn't mean it's safe to be complacent about it (not saying you are being). Hope he's better very soon x

Could be a bug, DD who works in a nursery recently had water diarrhoea for 4 days and then turned to a green tinge. It was a week until back to normal.
No other symptoms and she felt fine.
