Question for the men on the attractiveness of a female

Hi I was just watching a video on how men who find women extremely attractive become intimidated by that women and do not approach her.. but it was a woman talking about it so I just wandered from a man’s perspective if this is true. If u find a female attractive are u more likely to ignore her and just stare or approach and take ur chance!!

females pls feel free to share ur experiences too, im very intrigued

This must explain why men ignore me 😂

@AlexandrinaH I’m being delusional and telling myself that too 😂

Yes. I don't think that's so surprising is it? Being rejected is not much fun, and so most men I know consciously aim for women who aren't too far out of their league to avoid the highly-likely rejection.

Online it's a different story of course because the effort involved is so much less.

@tweddler So would you not make it known atall to that female that u may be attracted to her or would u just stare or avoid her

I think it’s it’s likely to be the other way around, whereby women may not approach a particularly good looking man.

In my experience men don’t tend to think ‘Hmm she’s out of my league and is too attractive so I won’t approach her’ They fire themselves in regards and will try their luck. They are more confident and self admiring I think 🤣

It also depends on personality. You could get a really handsome guy who is shy and struggles to approach any woman. In contrast you can get a very average or even not particularly attractive man but he has the ‘patter’ and would go up to anyone.

My ex husband told me.. it took him 4 months to come and chat to me because he thought l was far too beautiful for him... he used to see me in a pub in town every weekend and admire me from afar.. one night he was out with my cousin.. my cousin came to talk to me and my ex hubby got jealous and asked my cousin how he was so confident in chatting to me .. not realising we were cousins ... we got introduced then.. marriage lasted 7 years.. l ended it..

Just asked DH who is sat next to me. He hesitated with very attractive women but it didn’t stop him.

Attractiveness is very subjective isn’t it. There are so many people discussing dating and giving mini lectures on SM. Some of them are just letting thoughts tumble out of their heads. I watch a woman on tik tok, she is quite attractive in my opinion, solvent and late thirties. Doesn’t have much luck with dating, has relativley sensible advice but she is unbelievably intense. It’s pretty obvious to me why she is unsuccessful.

The film A Beautiful Mind has a great theory about this. Basically if all the men agree not to "compete" for the most beautiful girl (and settle for someone else) then everyone will be happy...except the beautiful girl who has no-one.

I always think that obviously beautiful men and women know the effect they have on people but I don't really know.

Surely it varies depending on the man and how confident they are? I posted on another thread about two beautiful friends I have and how they often get asked out by strangers when just going to the supermarket etc. Cleary, a lot of men are happy to approach gorgeous women.
Of course, there must be plenty of men who lack the confidence to do this and will ignore an attractive women.
Men are all different. They don't all behave the same.

I've witnessed this with two of my good friends. One is really attractive/pretty and shy. Other friend is quite average looking and overweight but outgoing and confident. Second friend always gets chatted up anywhere she goes. First friend is rarely approached and if she is it's usually by some idiot who thinks she is stuck up and wants to take her down a peg or two.
