Help me update my bedroom?

Picture was taken about a year ago but it's the same minus the dressingtable/stool which are gone.
I just find it boring. I want to inject some personality and colour. A bit more maximilist in decor but don't want clutter.

It's housing association so can't do anything structural or permanent.

Did you not ask about this room last year- and wasn't there a cat?

I do like it a lot but it just seems a little plain to me now that I've settled in.

That's a lovely room, you just need some art on the walls and maybe some plants. I'd get a stool or something to go where the dressing table was and stick a couple of small plants on it and maybe put a tall plant on the floor beside it.

Ohh I like the plants idea, I keep looking at those ladder shelves but didn't think to bse them in the bedroom. I think that's a great start. I have a lot of plants downstairs but non up here.

I'm really crap with art, I can never find anything that appeals.

Maybe adding more floral patterns?

i recommend loads of pictures of the cat in fancy gold frames
if you go for plants make sure they are not toxic to moggies
