Inspired by another thread where people were talking about how hard it is to shop local, which are the independent businesses you love that do online shopping or make it easy to shop outside the standard 10-4 opening hours?

I really rate Cotswold veg box for fresh veg delivered. They do an amazing BBQ meat box too plus essentials and, if you're relatively local, they'll drop it all off once a week. Intro offers and subscription discounts available.

For books, Kenilworth bookshop are amazing. Lovely books, lots signed to make it a bit special, and they can advise you really well if you're not quite sure what you want. They've also done a small discount for larger orders for me, including when I wanted to drop some off at the local kids hospital.

Bit more niche but Solva do signed books by a local artist that make really gorgeous special presents, and they are a working mill with all sorts of goodies made there.

During Covid we were shopping on this great site called Totally Locally, which was like online shopping but for local shops. It was done by a charity and closed down because it was operating on a shoestring, but tbh if a for profit company could take it forward, I would use it like a shot.

I am happy to shop local but I am not happy to go shopping every day. I just don't want to do it, and I'm at work when shops are open anyway. I want to look for what I need with a search and have it delivered with a click.

I try to support small independent businesses as much as I can, and have found quite a few outstanding products that I can order online.

I buy some of my skincare (cleanser, moisturiser, facial oil, etc) from Kent based Pelegrims. The quality is amazing and the two co-owners are very hands-on and responsive:

I buy limescale remover and washing-up liquid from Bower Collective. Their limescale remover is way better than Viakal!

I buy anti-perspirant / deodorant from two different companies, Make Waves and AKT. I love them both for different reasons!

I get amazing handwash and hand lotion from Gloved. It has really improved the softness of my hands and I like the subtle scent (I buy the Soft Nude) from perfumer Tom Daxon.

I wash all my laundry using washing liquid and fabric conditioner from Tallow & Ash. I’ve tried most of their scents now and my favourite is Date Night.

There will be more but these are the ones that immediately spring to mind - and that I use daily.

These sound amazing!

@Mellap have you tried www.trouva.com/ ? Mens, women's, kids, home, and lifestyle bits from boutiques all on one platform. Found it because my previous local boutique was on there.
