Can stomach bugs be like this?

On Friday DS threw up. It was almost immediately after he’d guzzled down some juice and he was absolutely fine afterwards so I thought it could be the juice. He was fine all day yesterday but today has had two really bad bouts of diarrhoea this morning. I thought considering he was fine all yesterday it wouldn’t have been a bug but can bugs present like this?

Yes I have 4 young children and this is o common. One my children could throw up just once and then nothing else no temp. Or have a temp overnight and no sickness and it all just disappears by morning.

Anything goes with stomach bugs.

We've had many variations over the years. We had one particularly slow moving one. Everytime DC2 got close to 48h, there's be another bout of D. This went on for a good 2 weeks (we did send a sample in to GP 😷 but it was deemed just a very slow passing stomach bug). DC was fine in-between as well.

Just keep them hydrated, stick to plain food if they are hungry and keep them home until they have passed the 48h.
