Can’t go see them, looking for something more structured to put on easily as a single person. Which one or any other suggestions?

For what age ?

PurBal · 08/03/2025 18:39

I used the ergo baby from birth until about 3 years. Used it in all set ups, I found the hip carry a PIA because front and back carry have similar strap set up and the hip differs. I absolutely love it and wished I'd got it with my first!

I used the Tula Standard with baby insert & then a Toddler Tula.
Could do them myself.

I used an ergo and a tula.

I’ve had both a ergobaby and babybjorn one. The One is easier to get baby in as you can almost completely open it up!

Autumn1990 · 08/03/2025 19:37

I had the ergo baby easy to use could get quite a large child in it as well. I never mastered the hip carry though

BlackWhiteCircle · 08/03/2025 19:42

4months old and mainly DH that will be using it, and I’ve watched a review that says baby bjorn better for men and ergo baby better for women? Have the ergo baby embrace already but DH wants a more structured one to be wearing and put the baby in rather than attach after holding the baby against you. He wants more structured than wrap

I have the harmony and find it a bit of a faff. Can you go to a sling library before you buy and see what they're like?

HelterSkelter224 · 08/03/2025 19:46

Sorry just saw you said you can't go see them 🤦‍♀️ the harmony is good when baby is in, well structured, but it is tricky with all the buckles and straps, especially when they're wee

APurpleSquirrel · 08/03/2025 20:25

My DH used our Tula's no problem - structured with buckles & adjustable straps.

BlackWhiteCircle · 09/03/2025 16:44

@HelterSkelter224 local sling library person shut down, there is a group meet one once a month but another 4 weeks to wait until the next one!

I had a Beco Gemini. I was so set initially on getting an Ergobaby, but when I tried it on, it just felt too bulky. The Beco Gemini worked better for me. It's very easy to use and I liked that you can cross over the straps at the back.

EcoCustard · 09/03/2025 19:54

We had a Tula, DH used it as much as me, easy to adjust and no faffing with it.

BlackWhiteCircle · 11/03/2025 11:04

Think DH is set on the ergo baby harmony, just wondering whether to get the mesh or the woven fabric. He wants something to put on first then put the baby in, rather than our current ergobaby embrace
